< pinchartl> welcome to the multimedia meeting < pinchartl> Topic 1. Status Check for the Multimedia Tasks < pinchartl> * Geert Since last meeting: - Upported Eagle X1 clock patch - DT binding validation related fixes This includes conversion to json-schema for IMR and JPU. Until next meeting: None Issues and blockers: None geertu: any comment ? pinchartl: nope thanks * Jacopo Since last meeting: - Setup AGL SDK and run test images - Back-ported pipewire tutorials to the version shipped by AGL - USB camera capture testing on AGL platform Until next meeting: ? [17:16] Issues and blockers: - Need feedback from media maintainers on "[PATCH v4 16/17] media: v4l2-subdev: De-deprecate init() subdev op" Pinged once already. jmondi: any comment ? let's move on while Jacopo wakes up [17:17] * Kieran Since last meeting: - v4l2-utils meson conversion testing May have poked the Mauro Bear... - VSP on V3U bringup The VSP-D on V3U seems not to be able to operate without the DU, so it can't be tested standalone as on Gen3 platforms (in memory-to-memory mode). Enabling the DU gives frame completion interrupts on the VSP, which seems to confirm this assumption. - DU bringup (integrating with Laurent's SN65DSI86 bridge) Can now identify that the VSP is operating, but need more development to get the DU fully controlling the display port. Until next meeting: - SN65DSI86 integration, to be able to complete DU output [17:18] Issues and blockers: - VSP testing would be easier if it could operate in UAPI mode Testing the VSP standalone without the DU would be useful. Maybe be worth trying the UAPI mode with a manual get on the DSI clocks ? kbingham: any comment ? I also upgraded my 5g/microsoft account by getting my first vaccine ;-) But otherwise no comment ;-) :-) btw, I've s/SN64DSI86/SN65DSI86/ in your report also, for VSP testing, did you mean getting the DSI clocks, or the DU clocks, or both ? I have already tried enabling DU clocks to get the VSP to run [17:19] So I suspect I mean both ok Diving into the bringup for DU made me realise there was a DSI clock. I think it's worth giving it a try ok [17:20] but if it's about the pixel clock and not the module clocks, then you'll need to configure the DSI encoder and start it it won't be as simple as enabling a CPG clock (although that should be tried first, just in case) ah ups, missed the notification :) sure. Well it was nice to be able to see the VSP actaully firing interrupts at last after lots of dead ends [17:21] but it will be nicer to see it doing something real of course :-) it's going in the right direction, let's get the display output working * Laurent Since last meeting: - V4L2 multiplexed streams development Worked with Tomi Valkeinen. Several patch series have been posted, work is continuing. - SN65DSI86 driver development The SN65DSI86 (DSI to eDP bridge used on the V3U Falcon board) is seeing active development upstream, and lots of discussions were needed to make sure it wouldn't go in a direction that would negatively affect us. - DSI driver upporting Provided test branch to Kieran who took over (at least temporarily) this part, to enable VSP testing. - Move DU to the drm_bridge_connector helper Patches had bit-rotten, rebased and reposted them. This is a prerequisite for the DSI bridge driver development. Until next meeting: [17:22] - V4L2 multiplexed streams development - Upstream DU move to drm_bridge_connector helper - Complete DSI and DU driver upporting (with Kieran) - Display drivers upstreaming (tentative) Issues and blockers: None any comment ? * Morimoto-san Since last meeting: - Continue ALSA SoC framework and/or new generic sound card driver - Got problem reports from customer support team that - Sound has NULL pointer error after 1 hour - Sound will be silence after 4-5 hours Until next meeting: - Continue work on ALSA SoC - Investigate and solve the sound issues Issues and Blockers: None moriperi: any comment ? The both issues are solved today ? oops [17:23] sovled today. nice ! you work faster than I can type reports ;-) Hehe :) * Niklas Since last meeting: - [PATCH 0/2] arm64: dts: renesas: Fix CSI-2 validation errors - [PATCH v2] media: dt-bindings: media: renesas, isp: Add bindings for ISP Channel Selector - [PATCH v2] media: dt-bindings: media: renesas, vin: Add r8a779a0 support - [PATCH v2] media: rcar-isp: Add Renesas R-Car Image Signal Processor driver - [PATCH v2] media: rcar-vin: Enable support for r8a77961 - [PATCH v2] media: rcar-csi2: Enable support for r8a77961 Until next meeting: - Follow up pending patches. [17:24] - Send next batch of cleanup patches found while working on V3U Issues and blockers: None neg: any comment ? No additional comment :-) have you received any review feedback from V4L2 developers on the ISP driver ? No the v4l2 community feedback have been rather disappointing But nothing new for v4l2 ;-) unfortunately [17:25] * Ulrich Since last meeting: - atest improvements - input format detection - fixes for issues with varying amount of silence in input files - custom test messages - 5-channel support Until next meeting: Issues and blockers: None uli__: any comment ? nope thanks any other discussion topic for today ? if not, I propose adjourning this meeting. does anyone second ? [17:27] seconded meeting adjourned, thank you everybody for attending [17:28] have a nice day ! or evening for our Japanese friends Thanks all, have a great day! thanks all. have a nice day [17:29] I will go back to my home
